Daily Boat Checklist

Requirements:

• Boat Registration

  • Display registration number on hull

  • Display valid registration sticker or excise tax sticker on hull

  • Have registration documents on board

  • For lake and river, display protection milfoil sticker

• Equipment on board

  • Approved USCG proper fitting PFDs for each adult and child

  • Approved USCG throw-able life ring/seat cushion

  • Visual distress signals (i.e. flares)

  • Marine rated fire extinguisher (B-I Grade)

  • Sound production device (i.e. horn/whistle)

• Navigation lights if out past dusk

• Keep sanitation discharge pump closed
